As I pointed out previously, in January, Donald Trump does not attend church nor does he read his Bible. More evidence of this claim has surfaced this week after spending a weekend in Iowa before the big primary. He attended First Christian Church, in Council Bluffs. According to observers and Trump himself, he did not realize the communion plate was for communion and he put money in it instead. Somehow the communion bread in there did not tip him off to anything.
What is even more interesting is how The Donald talks about church and taking communion at church. Last year he was quoted as saying,
“When I drink my little wine — which is about the only wine I drink — and have my little cracker, I guess that is a form of asking for forgiveness, and I do that as often as possible because I feel cleansed”
Oddly enough Trump is still leading in the evangelical voter polls. I am not sure how but one could assume a large portion of the voting Christians don’t really care if he is a sincere Christian or not.
