Reflections
The future unity of the church is being portrayed in these few short verses. This is an expression of how there will come a day in which Jews and Gentiles will have no distinction and the Gospel will be made known to everyone. With this in mind, this is exactly how the Church is formed. They unite together with one mind, purpose, and heart that is pointed to worshiping and serving the one true living God.
This is a reminder to us today that Christians ought to pursue living in oneness with each other and in doing so, the work of the Church and our ministry will be incredibly effective. When the Church chooses to place Christ in the center of it and makes preaching the Gospel the mission, it will result in God’s hand working and doing amazing things that we could never imagine.
Let us celebrate in the fact that there is no distinction between any cultures, races or ethnicity within the body of Christ. We are called to love and worship God as a united group of people and fellowship with one another with joy in our hearts. It is a major blessing to be surrounded with like-minded Christians and it is something that God has intended for us to have in our lives in order that we might encourage one another to grow and become effective in preaching the Gospel.
