Reflections
One of the best ways to keep on believing that God is faithful in our times of trouble is to recall all that God has done for us in the past.
Times of hurt and anxiety can often cause us to remain so focused on our present circumstance that we forget that God is still faithful even when things look hopeless and bleak.
Througout the course of our lives, Gods love and faithfulness to never leave or forsake His children is a promise that has and will always remain.
Here the Psalmist recalls the many times that God was faithful and delivered His people from difficult circumstances. If He was able to deliver the nation of Israel from the hand of the Egyptians, shut the mouth of lions, control the raging seas, how much more can He deliver you from your situation?
God’s hand is always at work to show us that He is strong and mighty to save and our hard circumstances does not change who God is, which is Faithful and what He will continue to do.
Savior, He can move the mountains
My God is mighty to save.
He is mighty to save.
Forever, author of Salvation
He rose and conquered the grave.
Jesus conquered the grave.

I will call to mind the deeds of the LORD; I will remember your wonders of old. I will meditate on all your work, and muse on your mighty deeds.
In times of trouble our basic instinct is to focus on the present circumstances. However, our present circumstances are never bigger than God. When you are having troubles of any kind remind yourself that there isn’t anything that God can’t handle. He delivered an entire nation from the Egyptians. Almost 900 years later that same nation was taken captive by Babylon and God used another nation (Persia) to deliver His people!
If you are in troubled waters turn to God. He will guide you through and deliver you on the other side.
