I give Egypt as your ransom, Ethiopia and Seba in exchange for you.<\/p>\n<p>43:4 Because you are precious in my sight, and honored, and I love you, I give people in return for you, nations in exchange for your life.<\/p>\n<p>43:5 Do not fear, for I am with you; I will bring your offspring from the east, and from the west I will gather you;<\/p>\n<p>43:6 I will say to the north, &#8220;Give them up,&#8221; and to the south, &#8220;Do not withhold; bring my sons from far away and my daughters from the end of the earth&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>43:7 everyone who is called by my name, whom I created for my glory, whom I formed and made.&#8221;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\">Reflections<\/h2>\n<hr \/>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/dustoffthebible.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/Picture.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-2766\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-2766\" src=\"http:\/\/dustoffthebible.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/Picture-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"Lydia.jpg\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dustoffthebible.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/Picture-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/dustoffthebible.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/Picture-80x80.jpg 80w, https:\/\/dustoffthebible.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/Picture-198x198.jpg 198w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/><\/a>Israel was a nation that had experienced multiple exiles, countless attacks, and moments of fear and panic. They had enemies all around them and had faced many trials. Throughout the course of Israel&#8217;s history, God is constantly having to redeem the nation and put them through various\u00a0trials in order to bring them back to Him.<\/p>\n<p>Here in this passage God is detailing and outlining the depth of the love that He has for His people. God is once again reiterating His promises to His people. In this passage, we see His promises being portrayed in four main ways. I hope and pray that these bring an encouragement to your hearts as much as they did in my own life:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong><span style=\"line-height: 1.5;\">Protection: <\/span><\/strong><span style=\"line-height: 1.5;\">He reminds that even though they &#8220;walk through fire, you shall not be burned&#8221; (verse 2) <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"line-height: 1.5;\"><strong>His love for them is steadfast:<\/strong> &#8220;they are precious in my eyes and honoured and I love you&#8221; (verse 4). This statement alone speaks volumes on how much His people are loved and valued by their Heavenly Father.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><strong>Not to be afraid:<\/strong> &#8220;Fear not, I am with you;&#8221; (verse 5)<\/li>\n<li><strong>They are ultimately His:<\/strong> &#8220;Everyone who is called by my name, whom I created for my glory, who I formed and made&#8221; (verse 7)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<hr \/>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/dustoffthebible.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/Justin-Holmes1.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-4182\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-thumbnail wp-image-4182\" src=\"http:\/\/dustoffthebible.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/Justin-Holmes1-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"Justin-Holmes1.jpg\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dustoffthebible.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/Justin-Holmes1-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/dustoffthebible.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/Justin-Holmes1-80x80.jpg 80w, https:\/\/dustoffthebible.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/Justin-Holmes1-198x198.jpg 198w, https:\/\/dustoffthebible.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/Justin-Holmes1-180x180.jpg 180w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/><\/a>The love that God had for his people was relentless. Through disobedience, desertion, rejection, and blasphemy, God still continually called His people back to Him. I am reminded of the verse in Hosea when God expressed how He would draw His people back to him.<\/p>\n<div class=\"stanza\">\n<div class=\"poetry top-05\">\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"line\"><span id=\"en-NIV-22120\" class=\"text Hos-2-14\">Therefore I am now going to allure her;<\/span><br \/>\n<span class=\"indent-1\"><span class=\"indent-1-breaks\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"text Hos-2-14\">I will lead her into the wilderness<\/span><\/span><br \/>\n<span class=\"indent-1\"><span class=\"indent-1-breaks\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"text Hos-2-14\">and speak tenderly to her.<\/span><\/span><br \/>\n<span id=\"en-NIV-22121\" class=\"text Hos-2-15\"><span class=\"versenum\">15\u00a0<\/span>There I will give her back her vineyards,<\/span><br \/>\n<span class=\"indent-1\"><span class=\"indent-1-breaks\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"text Hos-2-15\">and will make the Valley of Achor\u00a0a door of hope.<\/span><\/span><br \/>\n<span class=\"text Hos-2-15\">There she will respond\u00a0as in the days of her youth,<\/span><br \/>\n<span class=\"indent-1\"><span class=\"indent-1-breaks\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"text Hos-2-15\">as in the day she came up out of Egypt.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"poetry top-05\">\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"line\"><span id=\"en-NIV-22122\" class=\"text Hos-2-16\"><span class=\"versenum\">16\u00a0<\/span>\u201cIn that day,\u201d declares the\u00a0<span class=\"small-caps\">Lord<\/span>,<\/span><br \/>\n<span class=\"indent-1\"><span class=\"indent-1-breaks\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"text Hos-2-16\">\u201cyou will call me \u2018my husband\u2019;<\/span><\/span><br \/>\n<span class=\"indent-1\"><span class=\"indent-1-breaks\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"text Hos-2-16\">you will no longer call me \u2018my master.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"line\">(Hosea 2:14-16)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"line\">How great it is for those who love the Lord. Even when we error in our walks He still pursues us. He still loves us.
