Dear Christians, this is why non-beleivers hate us. Please stop doing this type of witnessing and grow up!<\/p>\n

The Fake Tip Story<\/h2>\n

A server in Wichita, where the tipped minimum wage is only $2.13 per hour, received a rude surprise this week when a $20 tip turned out to be a fake.<\/p>\n

“Don’t be fooled! There is something you can have more valuable than money!”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The pamphlet encouraged the 17-year-old Garret Wayman to<\/p>\n

“get yourself a Bible and start reading it, beginning with the Book of John.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

A Christian Response<\/h2>\n

If the person who left this tip had done his or her job in reading the Bible they would know that Jesus would want them to be generous with their monitary blessings and would be very dissapointed that they are essentially robbing people by not leaving a real tip.<\/p>\n

The restaurant industry depends on tips so much that the minimum wage accounts for it. So not tipping means you beleive your waiter doesn’t deserve to earn even the minimum wage. Can’t afford a tip? Then stop eating out.<\/p>\n

And furthermore, it’s incredibly insulting and presumptuous to assume the waiter wasn’t a Christian. This person not tipping clearly just wants to mask their greed and lack of judgement with a vague Christian appearance.<\/p>\n

14 What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? 15 Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. 16 If one of you says to them, \u201cGo in peace; keep warm and well fed,\u201d but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? 17 In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.<\/p>\n

18 But someone will say, \u201cYou have faith; I have deeds.\u201d<\/p>\n

Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds. 19 You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that\u2014and shudder. (James 2:14-19)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
