In his humanity he was tempted like all men and remained sinless so that he could be the sacrifice and salvation for all mankind. However, in his divinity and by his position in the heavens, he was since seated at the right hand of the Father. Indeed, one of Christianity’s oldest and most accepted creeds states that Jesus ascended into heaven and is seated at the Father’s right hand.

For us and for our salvation
he came down from heaven;
he became incarnate by the Holy Spirit and the virgin Mary,
and was made human.
He was crucified for us under Pontius Pilate;
he suffered and was buried.
The third day he rose again, according to the Scriptures.
He ascended to heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again with glory
to judge the living and the dead.
His kingdom will never end.

Nicene Creed (2nd paragraph)

It is right to give Jesus the praise he is due as he was the sacrifice for man and truly God in the flesh. If Jesus were merely a man he would be praised as Mary is praise but he is not just a man. He embodies the divinity of the Father. Thus, he is due all the highest honor and glory.
